If you do a quick search you’ll find GB teams listed for both genders in both the junior and under 23’s. Nothing strange here; after all, we’re passionate about supporting young talent. Just a sec, where on earth are our elite teams?
Is an elite GB absence the result of overstretching our very best on this summer’s Stage Tours and the Rio-Olympics? Did we not bother to enlist their talents, or as a result of Brexit, were we ever invited in the first place? Who knows? Well, perhaps you do. The Women’s
And why is it, in the last few elite-women road races, has there been a distinct silence? It’s almost deafening. The video that was below (but has now been taken off air – surprise, surpirse) is of the last 2okm of an ‘elite’ race. Where’d everybody go?
Are our usually attentive commentators to be found snoozing, having a tea-break, or more worryingly, do the studios even care that these exciting opportunities are once again going to waste?
