It’s a sunny afternoon and Smithfield’s market is packed, and not because it’s market day either. The crowds are out in eager anticipation of a racing spectacular imbedded in the heart of the capital, The IG London Nocturne.
…enthralling entertainment.
Smart organising means that on a Saturday night even non-enthusiasts can’t help but take a mo and be drawn to the big lights, high speeds and enthralling entertainment. Everything from folding bike races, fancy penny-farthing sprints (now that’s class!), skid distance comps for fixed wheel heads, and full on crit racing is on offer. Add to this a great location with such a good variety of feeding stations for the spectator; you’d be spoilt for choice.
The Baroudeurs pitched up by the finishing line and cheered our local heroes on. What a great start to the weekend. Thank you racers, we were moonstruck!
