There was also a great winter training tips segment presented by LWR regular, Yewande Adesida, who had come straight from a weekend of successful racing at the BUCS Track Championships in Manchester. We all need some inspiration and motivation in the dark, cold months and she definitely gave it to us!

LWR is a no-for-profit organisation that aims to promote high quality racing in the London area and provides a competitive environment for women to race, learn, develop and achieve regardless of category or experience. It’s run by a small team of volunteers who all share a passion for racing bikes and encouraging women to race in a supportive environment.
Fellow Baroudeur, Debra, is the Time Trial Co-chair and spoke at the event about her experience of entering a race for the first time and how meeting people from LWR had given her the confidence to give it a go. London Baroudeurs are proud to support LWR for the 2019 season and our club membership the league means that any female Baroudeur can compete in the crit and/or TT leagues at no additional cost (other than race fees and your BC license).
If you want to find out more, you can talk to Debra or check out the LWR website for more info:Â https://londonwomensracing.co.uk/
